Why I work with, and attract both types...
As a child I would have been put into the first category of living in the upper realms, communicating with spirits, knowing when things would happen, and being able to manifest things quickly. To survive in the world and do what was expected of me as many of us do, I shut much of that off. I wasn’t meant to be closed off or detached from those gifts. At 28, I had a spiritual awakening while working at the same time on my practical grounded doctorate degree at a public research university. My world-view received a shakeup. I began my own journey of rediscovering who I was, why I was here, and learning how to navigate my gifts between worlds, the physical and spiritual as well as the academic and the mystical. I also discovered so much joy along the way that I had never fully allowed myself to experience as a young adult.
Like you, I'm the boots on the ground doing the work daily in a variety of ways, wearing many hats. A coach years ago mentioned the term mainstream mystic to me and I know many of the people I work with today are, but perhaps they don't know it yet or don't know how to embody and live it. Another teacher once told me that we are all modern shamans, shaping our realities each day sharing our love and being of service.
I have always had this odd dream that people are aware of their multidimensionality and are using their gifts in their regular day jobs and professions. They are blazing new trails shifting paradigms integrating their logical gifts with their heart rooted in authentic grounded spirituality in being of service and sharing their loving presence.
Mainstream mystics and modern shamans as engineers, scientists, lawyers, nurses, forestry managers, teachers, police offers, pilots, stay at home moms, bakers, and estheticians...can you imagine that world?
Whether it is in the Crystal Earth Academy, where we discuss the rock cycle and elemental makeup of stones, their historical usage, and the folk stories about them along with metaphysical associations and modern day applications of those same elements found in nature in our pharmaceuticals …or in my small group retreats to spiritual places in nature...you’ll discover the benefits of understanding both the Earth Sciences and the sacred, and how to tap into your own awareness and your energetic senses for answers. All three weave together in classes and retreats to support your journey and spiritual growth for the modern times we are living in.
You will not walk away as a full time crystal energy worker, unless you want to be! However, you will walk away with tools and practices to integrate into your well-being, aligning your mind, body, and spirit. You'll feel more grounded as well as open to receive and integrate your gifts and talents in living out a life a joy. You'll feel more spiritually connected to all and positive about your contribution to your profession, relationships, and the world. The tools and practices you'll learn in the classes or on the retreats and journeys, will help with your clarity, peace, and joy... which ripples out into other areas of your life.
